Job description

The University of Maine’s School of Kinesiology, Physical Education, and Athletic Training in the College of Education and Human Development is seeking applicants for an open rank lecturer in athletic training and exercise science to serve as the Coordinator of Clinical Education for athletic training. The selected applicant may be appointed as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Principal Lecturer based on prior years of professional and/or teaching experience. The start date for the position is September 1, 2026. Responsibilities: - This position’s primary responsibilities are teaching classes related to Athletic Training. - Prior experience teaching more broadly within adjacent exercise science areas is desirable but not required given the Masters of Athletic Training program’s 3+2 program linking it to an undergraduate exercise science concentration. - Substantive teaching expertise related to clinical skill development is expected. - The successful candidate will also be expected to serve on Program, College, and University-wide committees.
