Overview The Nursing Supervisor has 24/7 Administrative and Operational responsibility for the organization. They perform under the authority of executive leadership. Operationally, they are responsible for patient safety, quality, staff education and service excellence. The Nursing Supervisor is a fiscal steward for the organization collaborating with nursing and ancillary leaders in problem solving staffing roles and responsibilities. The Nursing Supervisor is able to cover nurse staffing in ICU, ED and Med/Surg. Responsibilities: 24/7 operational and administrative oversight for the organization. The Nursing Supervisor acts independently in the absence of leadership and collaborates with the Administrator on Call, Nursing and Ancillary leaders as appropriate. Knows hospital strategic plan and aligns resources and objectives to achieve. Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires respect and trust. Holds employees accountable to values, clinical standards, accepted behaviors and confronts unsatisfactory performance promptly and fairly.
