Job Description Position Summary: The Cellar Operator position oversees the daily operation of Cellar Equipment, strictly adhering to established work methods and safety protocols. The operator is also responsible for ensuring all processes consistently meet the highest quality standards, supporting an efficient, safe, and quality-driven production environment. Responsibilities: - Under moderate supervision, performs basic, routine Cellar and Barrel Room tasks including but not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing Cellar fittings, hoses, fixed process lines, tanks, barrels, and grape and wine processing equipment. - Basic understanding of chemical additives and cleaners - Basic understanding of N2/CO2/Argon/ SO2 - Wine movements – set-up and movement of wine and juice to and from tanks, barrels and tanker trucks. - Make additions to wine and juice after a confirmation of the calculations by a Cellar Supervisor or Manager. - Operates all types of pumps including centrifugal, positive displacement, air pumps and other Cellar equipment. - Measure and calculate routine workplace data. - Understand and be an active participant in the 5S program.
