Photonics manufacturing engineer

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for testing electro-optical components and assemblies. - • Perform testing of production parts using lasers as required. - • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards. - • Assemble and test opto-mechanical and electro-optic prototypes. - • Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and procedures. - • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. - • Provide technical support to production and NPI teams as needed. - • Manage production schedules and ensure on-time daily shipments when required. Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree or higher. Skills: - • Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly with optical systems and components. - • Experience working in a cleanroom environment. - • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes. - • Strong problem-solving skills and...
