Job Summary The Kinesiology and Public Health Department in the Bailey College of Science and Mathematics at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking to hire one full-time lecturer for a two-year contract, with appointment beginning August 17, 2026 and ending approximately May 19, 2028. Candidates must be committed to high-quality teaching in the area of psychosocial aspects of sport and physical activity. Primary duties and responsibilities are to teach undergraduate courses in: Sport and Gender; Sports, Media, and United States Popular Culture and Sport and Physical Activity Throughout Civilizations. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The anticipated hiring range for a finalist with a master's degree is $67,404 - $71,508 annually. The anticipated hiring range for a finalist with a doctorate degree is $78,432 - $89,772 annually.
