Position Function: The College of Veterinary Medicine, Mississippi State University, invites applications for a Rotating Equine Medicine Internship. This position will work under faculty in Equine Medicine. Salary Grade : UC: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Area of Specialization: Rotating Equine Medicine Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. 70% appointment to the Equine Medicine Service, 30% other specialty clinical rotations, with direct supervision and support of 1 of 2 equine-focused DACVIM (LAIM) at any given time. 2. Equal rotation with 1-2 other interns and 3 surgical residents for Emergency Duty, receiving all surgical and medical emergency patients. 3. This position will work with the Equine Medicine faculty to provide care for patients presenting for ongoing medical problems, preventive care, and emergency treatments. 4.
