Summary of Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Note: Per the Americans with Disabilities Act, essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation . You will prepare dishes that will delight hotel guests with their taste, presentation and timely delivery. Duties and Responsibilities Follows instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals; uses various ingredients and cooking equipment; moves around the kitchen and multi-tasks; prepares ingredients to use in cooking (chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.); cooks food in various utensils and grillers; checks food while cooking to stir or turn; ensures great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served; keeps a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen; ensures all food and other items are stored properly; checks quality of ingredients; monitors inventory and places orders as needed.
