Description Compensation: $22 per Hour, Full-Time + Overtime Summary: The Asphalt Technician performs tasks involving physical labor at asphalt projects. The position may operate a variety of hand/power tools and heavy machinery to clean and prepare sites, lay asphalt or products, and remove waste materials. The position may assist other craft workers. Job Responsibilities: - Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in asphalt projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for paving, repairing or sealing. - Works with team members to lay asphalt, equipment, sealers, and other products. - Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. - Performs materials handling and storage. - Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials. - Complies with all safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations - Performs other functions as assigned.
