Organization: SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley Position Overview: Leads and directs general accounting services for the system, monitors operations, and develops internal controls to ensure activities and transactions comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Works with accounting leaders to manage the presentation of financial information and analysis. Develops performance metrics, policies, procedures and internal controls. Provides strategic guidance on business issues, recognizing cross-functional and system-wide implications, and inter-dependencies of decisions. EDUCATION: - Bachelor's: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: - 12 years recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: - Working knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations. - Working knowledge of basic principles and methods of accounting, auditing and financial reporting, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). - Understands the business and service organization best practices. - Strategic skills for reviewing processes and strategies to ensure successful alig...
