JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning, sourcing and procurement of materials, components, assemblies, and MRO items to meet Doble’s global demand requirements. The Senior Buyer/Planner reports to the Purchasing Manager and will initiate purchase orders for these materials and/or services to meet the needs of the organization. These parts and services are to be secured at cost, quality, and delivery timeframes required to meet demand and in line with policy and performance standards. Perform daily activities to support the Purchasing department including procurement, expediting and part selection based on engineering documentation, return material authorizations, and purchase order processing. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Generate MPS required to execute MRP, validate demand and initiate purchase orders for materials and/or services to meet the required schedule. - Maintain master data required to plan and execute MRP. - Coordinate the planning of jobs and procurement goods to meet demands. - Negotiate and track PPV, enforce costs and conditions with all associated suppliers. - Analyze and report changes in MRP detailing the effect of changes to established...
