Description The Ocean Manager is responsible for managing the Ocean Export and Import Departments and ensuring excellence in customer service and operations while optimizing profitability. This position is also responsible for managing and leading the staff of the Ocean Export and Import Departments. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises workforce and mentors the Ocean Export and Import Department staff. - Ensures excellence in file level execution and customer satisfaction - Provides continuous training and mentoring, while also maintaining a policy of zero errors. - Responsible for full compliance with Customs/TSA and other government agencies which have functions or duties related to all export and import activities and administrative laws & regulations. - Ensures that all operational KPI’s and financial goals are met. - Reviews existing business to increase the margin per file through improved buying and process optimization. - Ensures execution of branch and product strategies, - Shared responsibility of the department P&L - Works with the Sales Team to build account bases and file counts, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. - Works with internal p...
