Job Description The candidate will assist in researching, developing, and coordinating a variety of DOT capital projects of varying sizes. Candidates will gain an understanding of the Capital Program processes as well as experience in project planning from initial concept to leveraging funding sources, coordinating with DOT units and the public, and preparing the final product for design procurement at DDC. DOT Capital projects range from Plaza and Public Realm improvements to bicycle lanes and Greenway construction to state of good repair roadway reconstruction. The candidates will be assisting the unit with various tasks supporting Capital Program Management’s day-to-day operations. Daily duties will include tasks such as assisting in scoping new or potential capital projects including field visits, street title searches, developing conceptual designs, analyzing stormwater management proposals, and drafting project narratives; updating project schedules and maps for existing projects; participating in meetings with DOT staff, other government agencies, and local stakeholders; and investigating and drafting responses to project requests or roadway concerns from residents and/or el...
