VP Area: Law School Department: Law School: FLSA Status: Exempt: Benefit Eligibility: No: Position Summary: The School of Law occasionally has openings for part-time temporary adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Applying for a part-time adjunct teaching appointment allows faculty chairs from across the School to access candidate materials if/when a teaching need arises throughout the current or future academic year. Qualifications: - To teach courses as assigned by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. - To design and teach those courses in accordance with the established course descriptions, the School of Law’s Academic Handbook, supplementary instructions and guidelines given by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and the applicable accrediting standards. - To select required and recommended texts and to design and create any needed supplementary course materials. - To prepare and disseminate a syllabus for each course that meets the School of Law’s guidelines and the applicable accrediting standards and that includes an attendance policy, the instructor’s contact information, the methods of formative and summative assessment, the method by...
