Job description
Working independently and in collaboration with Physicians, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible to deliver care and integrate patient services with the goal of achieving specific clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes for specific patient populations and disease processes. Coordinates with patient's healthcare team. Adheres to ethical principles of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA code of ethics for nurses. Delivers healthcare in a therapeutic and professional manner demonstrating sensitivity towards unique patient/significant other needs. Preserves and protects the patient's autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs. Demonstrates the ability to advocate for the patient/significant other. Minimum Qualifications: Education - Masters in Nursing required. Doctorate Degree in Nursing Preferred. Completion of a Certified Nurse Practitioner program. Experience - Five years experience as a Registered Nurse. One year experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Licensure/Certification - License to practice as Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland required. Current DEA Registration and CDS permit required. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance wi...
