Department/Unit: Pathology Academics Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $49,763.00 - $69,668.00 Under the direction of the Primary Investigator and Lab Manager, the Histology Research Technician supports the overall clinical research program as follows: receives research specimens and verifies identification on these specimens, verifies information on the written request, cuts and stains tissue samples as requested by researchers, sends the specimen to the appropriate testing area(s) when applicable; organizes and maintains study files and materials. Education Requirement: This position requires a bachelor's degree in a technical or basic science discipline, or equivalent formal training in recognized fields of specialization 1. The use of specialized lab equipment to perform daily lab activities included but not limited to cutting, staining and maintaining tissue samples 2. Serve as support for the preparation of correspondence, manuscripts, abstracts and other duties as necessary. 3.
