POSITION SUMMARY: Perform and lead project engineering activities in support of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) projects. Provide technical guidance and prepare technical documentation for related systems engineering activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Lead the technical team consisting of MEPPI engineers, MELCO engineers, and contractors to achieve project goals on time and within budget. - Lead technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and other project stakeholders. - Track and close technical issues by tasking relevant subject matter experts. - Function as main contact with customer for schedule, status, development, clarifications, allocations and design document verification to ensure compliance of the CBTC design and installation to customer requirements. - Prepare and disseminate project status reports. Maintain contract document requirement lists and track progress of items. - Prepare and/or review customer correspondence and contract technical documentation. - Oversee and direct work of contractors.
