Position: OCA High School English Language Arts (ELA) Interventionist The OCA High School English Language Arts (ELA) Interventionist will teach intervention and credit-bearing courses that provide high school English credit while supporting students in developing foundational ELA skills for success on state assessments. This role will support students enrolled in Credit Recovery courses and/or students who are at risk of not meeting competency levels on state assessments. Preference will be given to candidates with experience using the IXL program, teaching English 10, and facilitating engaging, collaborative whole-group and targeted small-group LiveLessons that promote student participation and skill development; however, these experiences are not required. This is not an Intervention Specialist role, but candidates should be skilled in supporting the unique needs of students struggling in English language arts. A valid Ohio teaching license with Grades 7–12 English Language Arts certification is required for this role.
