About the role Mater is seeking applications for Interpreter - Persian/Farsi & Dari to join us in a part time role (0.2 FTE), based at our South Brisbane campus within the Language Services team starting mid-August / early-September 2026. While based in South Brisbane, this role will be supporting the brand new Mater Hospital Springfield which opened in early 2026. This state of the art facility meets the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. In this role, you will deliver professional interpreting services across on-site, telephone and telehealth settings, supporting communication in Persian/Farsi & Dari. You will hold current accreditation with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) and play a key role in facilitating clear, accurate communication between patients, their families and Mater staff.
