Job description

Under direct supervision, the Services Specialist performs set-ups, deliveries, cleaning, and upkeep of academic buildings. Regular schedule is Monday through Friday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Weekends scheduled on a rotating basis, dependent upon demand. Position Status: Non-Exempt: Salary Range: $17.50 - $18.50. This is the expected hourly rate for this position. Responsibilities: - Completes routine and special set-ups and take-downs throughout campus. - Moves furniture as directed. - Receives outside deliveries and disperses according to direction. - Performs custodial duties throughout campus, including arranging classrooms, cleaning and restocking lavatories, as needed. - Maintains service equipment, ensuring its good condition and proper use. - Shovels snow and de-ices steps and walkways as directed. - Reports equipment and items in buildings that require repair. - Interfaces with work order and scheduling software for up-to-date information regarding daily tasks. - Completes assigned work orders and, when needed, generates new work orders. - Assists other departments as needed.
