SUMMARY: General purpose: Operate and maintain a tanker truck to haul liquid chemical products (some hazardous) to local and long-distance customers. Class A CDL with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsement. ACTIVITIES: REQUIREMENTS: - Operate and maintain a tanker truck to haul liquid chemical products (some hazardous) to local and long-distance customers. Class A CDL with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsement. - Operates pumping equipment to load and unload chemical products from tanker unit. - Must maintain legally required D.O.T. documentation and travel logs. - Performs equipment inspections to maintain proper equipment performance and safety. - Follows all department procedures and all safety requirements - Reports any safety incidents on the correct form, within the same shift of the occurrence. These include injuries, near misses, property damage and unsafe conditions - Promptly reports any environmental incidents, including spills (within or outside containment), air emissions, and ground or water contamination. - Performs equipment inspections on tractor and tanker trailer for proper performance and safety.
