Job description

The role is responsible for leading and continuously improving the site’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems, ensuring full legal and corporate compliance. The postholder will drive a strong safety culture through audits, training, incident investigation, risk management, and effective communication, while acting as the key site contact for regulators, corporate EHS teams, and external stakeholders. This role also supports operational safety, emergency preparedness, contractor control, and—where applicable—process safety, waste management, security, and people management. All employees are legally responsible for their own health and safety as well as those who may be affected by their acts or omissions. They are also legally required to co-operate in health and safety matters as directed by their employer. To maintain and improve the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring all policies are up to date, relevant, in compliance with the law, implemented effectively and meet the requirements of local accreditations.
