Description $21/hr. and a Free YMCA Membership Under the general direction of the Buildings and Grounds Director, this position is accountable for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions and general maintenance of the facility, both inside and outside. The position requires a commitment to meet superior member expectations in cleanliness and member service. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Responsible for maintenance, upkeep of buildings, grounds, equipment, and roads. · Perform preventative and corrective maintenance functions for the property. · Provide leadership and support for all maintenance and custodial staff. · Order and maintain inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, etc. · Clean bathrooms, offices, rooms, hallways and any other areas by vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and polishing. · Trained in and follows all maintenance mandated topics (PPE, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, Lock out/Tag out, Asbestos Awareness, etc.). · Assist with departmental budget and management. · Coordinate with...
