Job description
As a director of community standards, you will work with faculty, staff, and students to investigate reports of potential conduct violations. You will provide training and indirect supervision to SCADhome staff on conduct-related issues, as well as training and advising to hearing officers at all SCAD locations to ensure consistent policy implementation. Similarly, you will provide training for professional staff and faculty on conduct matters. You will adjudicate cases involving off-campus and on-campus students who violate university policies listed in the student handbook, code of student conduct, and other university policies. Among other duties, you will determine sanctions for students found responsible for violating policies. In this role, you will counsel individual students, including victims and offenders, on their rights and responsibilities. You will oversee developmentally appropriate educational sanctions and analyze data to support these efforts.
