This position is not remote and or hybrid and requires to work on location at the Loma Linda Medical Campus. Job Summary: The Medical Transcriptionist-Pathology transcribes medical dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care. Understands and complies with policies and procedures related to medicolegal matters, including confidentiality, amendment of medical records, release of information, patients' rights, etc. Prepares multiple tumor boards for pathologists’ presentations. Receives and accession in-coming and outgoing consultations. Prepares an extensive number and complexity of send-outs requiring extensive pathology knowledge for pathologists, the cancer center, the transplant service, and others. Receives and manages protocol requests to support LLUH clinical trials. Monitors daily pathology reports migration from Cerner to Epic. Mails pathology reports to non LLUMC clinicians. Coordinates slide delivery within all entities depending on Pathologists’ rotations meeting critical times for Murrieta, Surgical Hospital, TMC and FMO.
