Job Summary The Certified Peer Support Specialist is part of the primary care team for UMC Health System employees. The Peer Support Specialist is actively involved in addressing the social needs of employees and providing referral resources for needed care and treatment Reports to: Director, Employee Wellness and Resilience and EAP Leadership Team Job Specific Responsibilities: Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: - Provide professional counseling/ talk therapy according to standards of care - Refer patients to community resources and escalate care as appropriate - Facilitate and assist employee team building exercises and mental health trainings - All other related assigned duties Education and Experience: - Master’s degree - Completion of an accredited program with certification recognized by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations: - (LPC) Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC-A) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, (LMFT) Licensed Marria...
