$25,000 sign on bonus! Position Details : Full Time - days - 40 hours per week - Corning Hospital Cancer Center. Position Summary: The Oncology nurse provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients and is responsible for delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, and evidence-based quality care. Practicing in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Experience: A minimum of two years of practice as a registered nurse in an acute care setting is preferred but not required. Education: Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not required. Additional nursing CEU’s are required for cancer centers with Accreditations. Licenses: - Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of employment. - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Specialty certification Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate required as soon as the RN is eligible.
