Job description
Position Summary/Purpose: Grand Canyon University (GCU) maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) by virtue of their charitable programs. The collective mission of 501(c)(3) organizations in the Phoenix Valley is to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve particular problems related to those residents’ needs. GCU maintains a partnership with Callahan Care at 5115 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, 85017. Callahan Care provides, free of cost, several ways to the Phoenix community: free open closets, free open pantries, free furniture, free home goods, and free classes such as ESL, financial literacy, and resume building. The CSLP student worker’s work schedule is dependent on the hours of operations and needs of Callahan Care; however, CSLP student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year (i.e., fall/spring).
