Job description

Job Summary: The HVAC/r Technician will perform diversified duties for maintenance, repair and installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, chilled water, compressed air, heating and ventilation systems and associated controls. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Relevant combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Minimum of three (3) years of related and progressively responsible HVAC/R experience, or an associate degree in an HVAC/R-related curriculum. - EPA Refrigeration Certification (Type I and II or Universal) required within 120 days of hire. - Valid U.S. driver’s license required. - Ability to be medically qualified for respirator use required. Preferred Qualifications: - HVAC and control system installation and maintenance experience preferred. - Experience with building management systems preferred. - New York State 7G Commercial Certification for application of pesticides to cooling towers preferred. - EPA Refrigeration Certification (Type I and II or Universal) required within six (6) months of hire.
