Hydraulics Engineering Specialist

STV has an immediate need in our Raleigh, NC offices for a Hydraulics Engineering Specialist in our Transportation & Infrastructure division. The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a solid understanding of water resources and civil engineering principles. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional who enjoys being part of a strong team environment! Will also have opportunities to assist our transportation design efforts, providing geometric design for road and bridge projects (these skills are not required and can be learned on numerous projects). Responsibilities include: Use hydrologic and hydraulic software such as OpenRoads Designer (StormCAD), Geopak Drainage, and HEC-RAS modeling Use CADD and mapping software including OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and ESRI ArcGIS Prepare various technical reports in support of transportation project drainage designs Produce quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget Prepare Storm Water Management Reports and culvert/bridge hydrologic & hydraulic studies Provide professional design services for...
