Job description

Essential Responsibilities: - Build and assemble mechanical components for Switchgear and/or Breaker units according to engineering drawings and customer specifications using master copy, spec sheet, front elevation and WO files - Perform maintenance and proper use of tools. - Perform in process inspections; ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality. - Perform all ship prep functions including splitting gear. - Assist in Root Cause Analysis on engineering changes and correct discrepancies - Assist a small team of employees to complete a specific task assigned as assigned by lead assembler and/or supervisor - Perform mechanical adjustments for switchgear - Promote a safety culture as well as attend all safety meetings. - Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized. Minimum Qualifications: - Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred. - 2-4 years of experience in assembling medium to large sized metal boxes/enclosures or electrical switchgear - Ability to read a tape measure (including conversions from fraction to decimal and conversely from decima...
