Learn more at www.farweststeel.com/careers Purpose of This Position: Providing technical estimates based on bid documents and drawings. Provide initial customer contact in person or by phone for the purpose of quoting, negotiating, and writing orders. Pay Range: $80,168.00 to $85,000.00 annually DOE Shift: Typically Monday-Friday 7 AM - 4 PM Duties: - Provide technical estimates of reinforcing steel for construction projects and prepare bids for customers. Follow up on bid lists and bid confirmations. - Call on customers to follow up key bids and to solidify relations. - Analyze the construction markets through trade publications and recommend projects to estimate based on customer needs and availability of resources. Coordinate bidding with other branches. - Work with Branch Manager on pricing strategies. - Preparation of job for chief detailer and/or detailer(s).
