Subsystem Test Engineering Intern - (Summer/Fall 2026)

Job description

Hermeus is a high-speed aircraft manufacturer focused on the rapid design, build, and test of high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft for the national interest. Working directly with the Department of Defense, Hermeus delivers capabilities that will ensure that our nation, and our allies, maintain an asymmetric advantage over any and all potential adversaries. The Test team is responsible for developing infrastructure to perform tests on fuel & hydraulic system components. The test team works with hardware owners to define testing requirements, design & implement test fixtures, and assist in data collection to inform and verify design decisions. Summer: around 10 weeks (May - August) Fall: Around 16 weeks (September - December) Responsibilities: - Design test fixtures and interfaces. - Perform analysis to determine target test points, instrumentation, and ensure sufficient test safety margins. - Organize and run test design reviews with stakeholders in cross-functional teams - Create manufacturing plans for test components/fixtures and work directly with manufacturing/build teams to monitor build progress and assist in resolving issues. - Design and release flight-like hardware as necess...
