Position Description At a Glance: Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Starline Team in Reading, UK. The Mechanical Engineer 2 provides electrical and mechanical engineering support for the commercialization, application, and customization of all Starline products. Works under moderate supervision with limited problem-solving responsibility while working under defined guidelines. What Will You Do?: - Conceptualize and implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) / Test (DFT) / Assembly (DFA) and Full Turnkey solutions. - Support the engineering team tasked with the commercialization and launch of Starline designed products. - Perform engineering design tasks and provide feedback in support of customer specific customizations of Starline products. - Create technical documentation such as drawings, design instructions, purchasing specifications, O&M Manuals, installation instructions, work instructions and product catalogs. - Support the integration of 3rd party products with Starline’s product offerings. - Conduct testing required, verifying product performance, system integration and compliance with appl...
