Safety Specialist

Job description

Overview: The Safety Specialist will apply a working knowledge of OSHA compliance, fire protection systems, and safety standards to all Nationwide locations. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and managing of safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with safety regulations. The Safety Specialist will ensure Nationwide is compliant with all current safety regulations. Competencies: - Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive OSHA compliance programs specific to warehouse operations. - Conduct regular audits and inspections of the warehouse facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. - Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems in the warehouse, including fire alarms, sprinklers and suppression systems. - Conduct thorough risk assessments of warehouse layouts to identify potential safety hazards and implement appropriate controls. - Provide training (& materials) to warehouse staff on OSHA regulations, safety procedures,...
