Summary Job Description: Job Title: OR Circulator (RN) First Shift Full Time: Job Description: An RN circulator, or circulating nurse, plays a vital role in the operating room (OR) and is responsible for managing the overall nursing care within the OR to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment. Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
