Whey Fines & Salt Whey Operator Supervisor’s Title: Whey Team Leader: Department: Whey Production: Exempt Status: Hourly: MWC is a state of the art cheese and whey production facility in St. Johns, MI. MWC is a joint venture between Glanbia Nutritionals, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers Inc. (Select). Job Summary: Primarily responsibility to box the extra cheese from the Separator room. Essential Functions: - Responsible for operating fines and salt whey equipment. - Responsible for locating leaking vessels and isolating them, replacing membranes and lip seals - Record data for fines and salt whey Nano membrane - Prepare blocks in the fines room according to the procedure. - Put blocks in the press and the vacuum chamber. - Bag and seal blocks. - Assemble stainless steel boxes - Oversees CIP for assigned machinery and silos - Maintain a clean work environment - Attend required training and take required quizzes to be proficient in room - Responsible for completing all safety activities, plant meetings, near misses, and BBSs - Complete all job activities following set safety and operational SOP’s - Leave the relieving operator supplied with materials, cardboa...
