Overview About the Role: The primary purpose of the Data Uniformity Specialist II (Coding/Operations) position is to review, research and resolve problems and errors concerning inpatient and outpatient coding operations, be the coding software “subject matterexpert,” facilitate and track payor coding audits/adjustments and compile productivity and quality data for HIM coding and operations. This is done to support, maintain and improve the efficiency, continuity, and quality of all HIM operations. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do: Carefully review and appropriately redact requests for the release of sensitive health information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies. This includes data related to HIV/AIDS status, mental health diagnoses and treatment, substance use history, and alcohol-related medical information. Examine and process subpoena requests that involve protected health information, particularly those concerning HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use, and alcohol-related records.
