About the Role: As a n ​ Upfit Technician I ​ , you will perform a variety of high-level activities related to truck body and trailers. Activities include but are not limited to ​ knowledge of truck body and van electrical and hydraulic issues, disassemble and reassemble all sections of the truck body, body mounts, upfitting, as well as diagnose and repair as needed ​ . Your Responsibilities: - Follow all Wabash WPO guidelines, attain all required certifications, work safely, and use proper PPE. - ​Work in a team environment. - ​Do repairs and procedures in a safe and timely manner. - Operate Pneumatic and battery powered cordless tools. - Read basic drawings and prints. - Ability to operate lifting devices (forklift/ stacker) - Apply adhesives and mechanical fasteners, operate sanders and apply light duty paint material, operate saws and drill press equipment. - Ability to record part numbers on work orders. - Basic understanding of 12v or automotive electrical system. - ​Before beginning an assignment, read the work order completely, check the VIN on the vehicle to ensure you have the correct components and vehicle for the assigned job. - ​Perform other duties ass...
