Job Title: Radiology Technologist Department: Diagnostic Radiology Location: Unity Hospital Schedule: Day, M-F 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. On-Call/Holidays : 2-3 on calls /month; 2-3 holidays/year SUMMARY: Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient Care - Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service. General Maintenance - Clean, restock, and prepare rooms on a daily basis. Documentation - Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years college certificate or equivalent. NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
