University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking an experienced psychiatrist interested in casual shifts in a variety of settings in our health system. Shifts are available on the following services: - EmPath (Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing) practice at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital - Emergency Consult Team at the University of Minnesota Medical Center - Inpatient Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Schedule: Qualifications: Compensation: Casual rate of pay is $163/hr. - Join a team of multidisciplinary mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, licensed therapists, and psychiatric nurses. - Determine the best level of care for patients, provide acute treatment for occurring crisis and assist with discharge planning when needed. - Work closely with ED providers in supporting the mental health patients in the ED. - Provide consultative support to the medical patients on-site and other facilities via telemedicine. - Completes comprehensive substance use disorder assessment. - Provides basic alcohol and opioid withdrawal treatment. - Casual - Day, evening and weekend shifts (6,8...
