Overview Kimley-Horn's Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development! This position will primarily support private land development projects with a focus on private roadway design . The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and experienced in roadway layout, grading, and plan production for private development projects.This is an in-office position and is not eligible for remote work. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the design team to develop detailed and efficient roadway designs, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications - Assist in the development of project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for roadway infrastructure projects - Select appropriate materials and prepare engineering specifications for road construction and maintenance projects - Create alignment and geometric designs for roads, intersections, and other transportation facilities, considering safety and accessibility for all users - Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities for roadway projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and fe...
