Senior Accountant

Job description

Job Purpose Contribute to the financial close process and provide financial information to management through reviewing monthly general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, and providing additional analysis of accounting activity, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Support other finance-related projects as required. Essential Functions: - Work with various departments throughout the month to obtain necessary information and approvals for journal entries and accruals - Maintain all intercompany accounts, working with business partners to ensure proper recording and billing of intercompany charges - Analyze and perform balance sheet reconciliations that involve multi-step processes and/or large amounts of data; research and reconcile any financial discrepancies with minimal supervision - Support the timely and accurate monthly accounting close through effective coordination of processes and practices with team members while promoting strong fiscal period controls - Assist with compiling external audit requests - Serve as backup for team members in the department as needed - Support special projects as assigned - Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and...
