Job description

Commission Overview: RLB have been appointed to undertake condition surveys for the Department for Education, covering 7300 properties across England over 5 years between 2021 and 2025. The Data Collection Programme (CDC2) will provide a comprehensive picture of the condition and nature of all school buildings. The Programme will help make funding fairer and more effective through better targeting and provide data to monitor changes in condition at local and national level. The commission is one of the largest of its kind ever undertaken across Europe and follows on from the success of its predecessor commission (CDC1), to which RLB were also appointed. The role involves visual assessment of building fabric condition, with data captured live on site via a tablet application.
