Position Location: Plant based Manager: Production Manager: Role Level : Manager of People Manager Once Removed: Plant Manager: Level of Work: 2H: Purpose of Role: Through effective leadership and management, the Shift Manager must drive the critical performance metrics of Safety, Job Training, Hiring and Onboarding, Growth and Development as well as perform high level root cause analysis on identified improvement opportunities. The Shift Manager, who at times may be the highest leadership position within the plant during evenings or weekends, must effectively collaborate and communicate with peers as well as other cross-functional teams in reliability, quality, shipping, and planning. Areas of Accountabilities: People Development and Engagement: Production Shift Team Operations and Productivity - Coach, mentor, and lead shift team members and Rehrig Pacific employees in accordance with our Core Values and Strategic Vision. - Complete Day One Onboarding for all new employees in Spotlight. - Utilize the skill matrix process for recognition that drives company values, motivates, and retains associates. - Complete quarterly KA reviews for all associates, detailed annual PEAs, and cont...
