Production Supervisor

Job description

Position Purpose: Supporting the Production Manager in the areas of leadership and supervision of hourly personnel, managing daily production of parts and schedules, promoting safety, quality, 5S and continuous improvement efforts for the facility. Essential Functions: - Provide the leadership and the discipline to assure consistent application of the company rules and procedures. - Plan, organize and develop company resources to efficiently meet or exceed the annual success sharing goals and objectives and on-time shipments of product to customers - Ensure all company quality standards are adhered to and that substandard products do not reach customers - Manage the production of parts to meet or exceed customer/design specifications to be at or below planned customer concern and scrap levels - Assist the Production Manager in the development and implementation of procedures required to perform daily activities (Work Instructions, TS16949 manuals, OJT training forms, etc) - Participate in Manufacturing Excellence initiatives using problem solving teams, utilizing 8D and continuous improvement methodologies, to identify root cause and corrective actions to correct quality related is...
