Position Function: Work will be performed in lab here at College of Veterinary Medicine in Starkville, MS Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year. Salary Grade : UC: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Area of Specialization: Sample Receiving Lab - PPM Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with general office duties, including organizing workspaces and supporting staff as needed. Answer incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel, including the Sample Receiving Technician. Greet visitors in a professional manner and provide basic information or direct them to the appropriate department. File documents and maintain organized records, including temperature charts and other administrative logs. Run errands and deliver materials within the school or facility as required.
