Securitas Security is looking to hire a temp to perm NYS General Topics Security Guard Instructor in our Syracuse, NY office. Candidates who apply should have both training and security experience. Candidates will also need to have strong computer skills. The positions standard hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30-5 however flexibility is needed to teach annual classes to current employees. This may include some evenings and weekends. JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates and delivers training programs for Security Officers and other employees. Acts to ensure compliance with legally mandated, contractual, and company mandated training requirements. Distinguishing Characteristics: Primary job function is training security personnel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Trains employees and job candidates; conducts new employee orientation, mandatory licensing training, on-the-job training, and training in health and safety practices.2.
