Position Summary: The University of Denver is seeking motivated and qualified lifeguards to start this summer season. Lifeguards play a crucial role in the safety and health of the DU community. This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year. Essential Functions: - Prevent and respond to any and all emergencies quickly and appropriately. - Prevent emergencies from arising by enforcing all rules and regulations. - Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and heath of patrons and the facilities. - Attend scheduled quarterly in-services to maintain proper training. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Willingness to learn and comply with our facility specific health and safety procedures. - Ability to sit and stand while maintaining focus for extended periods of time. - Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with other faculty, staff, and patrons.
