Job Description: Job Title: Powder Coater Department: Production Reports To: Production Manager Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Powder Coater is responsible for applying powder coating finishes to metal parts and products, ensuring consistent, high-quality coverage that meets customer specifications. This role includes preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: - Assist with cleaning, sand, and prepare metal surfaces using tools such as sandblasters, grinders, or cleaning solutions to ensure proper adhesion of powder coating as needed. - Mask and plug parts as necessary to protect areas from coating application. Powder Coating Application: - Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and booths, according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Apply powder coating evenly to parts while controlling thickness and quality of the finish. Quality Control: - Inspect coated parts for uniformity, coverage, and adherence to specifications. - Address defects such as sags, drips, or thin spots and recoat or correct as necessary.
