Starting Wage Range: $24.60/hr. - $31.84/hr. Job Summary: This position is part of a team of professionals in the Natural Resources Department whose mission is the responsible stewardship of Tribal lands, waters, and resources. This position's primary job duty is equipment operation for habitat conservation, restoration and maintenance. Essential Functions: - Assists with multi-task operations that may affect the Tribe’s natural resources. - Assists in the construction, maintenance, and enhancement of fish and wildlife habitat projects. - Operates equipment and machinery such as skid steer, tractor, excavator, chain saws, weed eaters, etc. - Tracks equipment use hours and conducts all maintenance requirements for each piece of equipment. - Assists in the monitoring of various fish and wildlife habitat projects. - Receives work tasks through verbal, written, and mapped instructions including project objectives and specifications. - Prioritizes work tasks to achieve project deadlines. - Conducts, supervises, and organizes logistics for field operations. - Utilizes flatbed and trailer to safely haul heavy equipment and parts to and from work sites. - Uses maps, compass, global positio...
